Greyhawk 937 CY: The Age of Steam
Sidequests are a new system I am using for this game. Each non-party NPC has a sidequest that does not affect the plot but does provide extra story, experience and treasure. Sidequests are unlocked through a combination of interaction between the party and the NPC, level of the party and story timing. If all three levels are met the sidequest will be revealed. Interaction between the party and the NPC’s will create either affection points or revelation points, as is appropriate. Each character has a specific set of types of interaction and personalities that will accumulate the points or take them away. This will determine who they trust, who they will allow to go and who they will reveal their problems to when the quest opens.
